Sheikha Latifa Leads UAE Delegation to Sweden for Policy and Cultural Exchanges
Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, completed a series of high-level meetings in Sweden this week, focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in governance, social policy, and the creative economy.
Leading a delegation of UAE government officials and ministers, Sheikha Latifa held discussions with Swedish female leaders from the fields of public policy, healthcare, technology, and education. The sessions addressed frameworks for female empowerment in decision-making roles, as well as strategies for sustainable talent development.
The visit also prioritized the role of culture as an economic pillar. At the Vasa Museum in Stockholm, Sheikha Latifa met with Swedish cultural leaders to examine how creative industries can serve as drivers for urban development and economic growth. Both parties reviewed existing policies intended to foster innovation and attract talent within the sector.
The UAE delegation included Her Excellency Maryam Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary General of the UAE Cabinet, and Her Excellency Hessa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai. These engagements served to further institutional ties between the two nations, building on established cooperation in economic and social development.
